3 day diet origin leads to from Cleveland Clinic Diet as the institute who published this 3 day diet program in 1970. The short time span helped the 3 day diet to gain its popularity among dieters. The 3 day diet program is also known as the Navy three day diet, Baptist hospital 3 day diet, Florida 3 day diet, Army 3 day diet, and lot of others bizarre nicknames.
The come in several numbers and in different thoughts. The three day diet. It is dieters favorite term, their perfect option before a big event (i.e; dance, wedding, special event) and it is the “easy” way out of the usual standard of hard core dieting and punishing exercise. The free three day diet is great for the heart and will have you eating food from fish to Kaiser to tuna and mayo.
The 3 Day Diet Plan is a quick plan approach where you eat a specific mix of foods which are intended to create a chemical reaction in the digestive system. The theory is that doing so will boost the metabolism, which in turn, will cause the body to burn fat at a faster rate. This diet has a diuretic effect on the body which causes water weight loss rather than fat loss. This of course can be done in 3 days and at least a four day break is required before another 3 days of dieting can be started. (This diet may also be known as the Day Diet, The Navy Diet or The Army Three Day Diet.) There are several variations of this diet as well. There are three meals required for each day which equal to about 600 calories per day.
The 3 Day Diet Menu
Breakfast on the first day begins with coffee (no sugar), one half a grapefruit, and a piece of toast with 1 Tbsp peanut butter.
For lunch, you are allowed a can of tuna, a piece of toast, and black coffee.
Dinner consists of 3 ounces of chicken or lean meat, a cup of green beans, one cup of carrots, one apple, and one cup of regular vanilla ice cream.
The other two days of the diet are exactly the same as the first day, even though the menus are different. One specific change is recommended on Day 2. Eat two beef franks for dinner in place of three ounces of lean meat. The science supporting this change is apparently a very big secret and the author refuses to reveal it.
